Quongdong Point / Beach is 35k's north of Broome. It's a free camp site, the sign said 72, as we drove past. After a pleasant two weeks, we depart and a closer read of the sign states, 'camping permitted for 72 hours'.
Oh, well we never saw the Ranger!
This should not rate as a 'fishabout blog', as the fishing was lousy to say the least. We did catch fish but___ It was the same story for any and every one else who camped or fished off the rocks over the two week period.
That made us feel better.
Yeah! Sue there's a Croc on the beach!
So we went and had a look - gotya!
Kid's camping over in the next beach had fun with their artistic flair
But great for wind surfing, this guy was still learning and this was the only time he stood up, he got blown around the corner out of site. (He was parked upwind)
Look like a panel off and boat cupboard, I was using it to hold an annexe pole down, by looping the peg down wire around the mesh and rock piling the panel.
Plug got ripped off up Kalumburu / Pago way in the scrub.
Got to be good or real jaggy to catch them this small!
Sand or Yellow Fin Whiting, they did not like squid. Tom & Audrey where hauling them in using prawn bait. We did land 2 yellow fin and 4 Northern Dart all great eating fish.
How magic was that lot!
Ya, just don't know who will show up at our remote camp sites!
Okay! that's better, I can relax down here!
Yeah, we left them to it, with all these folks fishing no one caught any fish!
Ah! we feel better about our efforts.
No Sue's not making a fashion statement here, just comfortable!
Cheers
